Meet Amaya Moreno
Amaya has established herself as one of the nation's premier flag football athletes, earning the No. 1 spot in MaxPreps' 2025 Top 100 Players ranking.
Before becoming a nationally recognized flag football star, she competed as the starting quarterback in a boys' tackle football league, holding her own among the best players on the field. At 11, her arm strength and playmaking drew national attention through a viral highlight.
As a sophomore, Amaya threw for more than 4,800 yards, rushed for over 1,000, and accounted for 78 total touchdowns. Her junior season was just as dominant: 43 passing touchdowns and eight rushing scores in nine games, capped by a 57-0 state championship win.
She also stars at the national level as quarterback for Balleretes, one of Arizona's premier club flag football programs. Her accomplishments include a Junior Olympic gold medal and three national championships.
With elite athleticism, proven leadership, and relentless competitive drive, Amaya continues to raise the standard for the next generation of flag football athletes.
